Schools have a wonderful opportunity to improve their environmental impact and to educate students on sustainability, the environment and how students themselves can have a positive impact. The potential ripple effect is enormous, with schools not only changing what they do but also inspiring change in the wider community.
Engaged Group works with schools to reduce their waste and implement enhanced waste disposal through improved waste management processes and student and parent involvement. We work with schools to reduce single-use plastic, and recommend suppliers who are sustainable and ethical. We focus on schools reducing their carbon footprint by cutting power and utilities consumption and by undertaking carbon offset, and help schools run sustainability events to generate excitement, interest and change within the student / parent body and the wider community.

Sustainability Education & Workshops
Engaged Group provides incursions to little learners keen to know more about the environment and living sustainably. With sustainability forming part of the Australian Curriculum it’s a great opportunity to give students some hands-on guidance on what it means to live sustainably.
All of Engaged Group’s workshops are interactive, using props and student involvement to demonstrate the effect that we are having on the environment and how we can mitigate it. Students leave with ideas on how they can help make changes in their homes to ensure the positive change continues.

Diversity & Inclusion Consulting
Schools can and do act as role models for students, parents and the wider community on establishing environments that welcome all individuals no matter their race, gender identification, ability, sexual orientation and cultural background. Schools that support and nurture a diverse student population set the expectations and behavioural patterns of students as they move forward with their lives and mature into adults.
Engaged Group works with schools to ensure they attract and retain diverse students, and that they are cognisant of and reflect the diversity of the local population and heritage. We encourage a calendar of school events and activities to demonstrate support and awareness of different social groups, and offer student workshops on different aspects of diversity and inclusion.
